Description

Jody Fine was among the original glass artists who started the current contemporary art glass marble movement. His name is historical among contemporary marble enthusiasts. This is a rare piece from Jody, as it is not representative of his usual work. It features colorful vertical cane pieces surrounding 3/4 of the marble, with 1/4 left open and an open top, allowing you to gaze down into the marble (which has a red/white cane arising from the base, inside the superficial outer colorful canes, or gaze into the marble from the side through the 1/4 clear opening. Another rarity is the fact the piece is signed by the artist, as Jody rarely signed his work. The marble is signed "FINE" with the year underneath (which I am unable to decipher). This marble measures 1.31 inches.
